For those of you who know me...you know I LOVE football! I grew up going to Rams games with my Dad (when they were based in LA) and I was all about being his little football buddy. For the last few months of the year, Sundays are all about watching the games (and Thursday nights...and Monday nights...). Weekends in January are all about the playoffs - don't even think of asking me to miss one!
That said - I must admit to being such a fan of Peyton Manning that I follow him from team to team. I rooted for the Indianapolis Colts when he played for them - and I root for the Broncos now that he's in Denver. I know the fan rules - you're supposed to follow a team - not a quarterback - but that's just the way I roll. When Peyton retires - maybe I'll start rooting for San Francisco (since that is where I live).
Consequently - I LOVE my Super Bowl parties. I make food based on cities the two teams are from (think Clam Chowder for New England) and I always pull together a simple Super Bowl game that everyone can play. Questions like "Who will win the coin toss?", "What will be the first beer commercial after kickoff?", "Who will throw the first challenge flag?", "How many times will they mention deflated footballs before the halftime", etc. If you want to use the game I put together - by all means I am happy to share! I usually offer some random prize for inspiration (all I know is that people come to my house just so they can play the game!)
So who do you think will win the Super Bowl? My dog Tiffany seems to think it will be the Seahawks! (although you should know she doesn't have a very good track record!)
