I have been out and about in New Zealand and Australia this past week - with one more week of the Aussie AEC Tour to go. If you live near one of the remaining cities - be sure to join me! I'll be doing a presentation on the Future of Design and in most cities I'll also be showing the new features in AutoCAD 2011.
The Australia and New Zealand events have been really fantastic and I've enjoyed spending time with our AEC customers.
Below is a picture from one of the AEC Systems events (thank you very much Sean Twomey! That little person way in the front is me!
Most of the discussion in these events have been centered around Building Information Modeling (BIM). Nicolas Mangon, Autodesk Building Industry Director, did a fantastic job of diving deeply into all aspects of BIM.
We're going to miss his great sense of humor next week as we continue the AEC Roadshow without him (it just isn't going to be the same!)
I'm off to spend some time with AUGI Board of Director's member Bill Adams while here in Adelaide. Looking forward to a little down time after the busy speaking/travel schedule this week!
Oh...and I almost forgot...a great big thank you to Robin Capper (of RobiNZ CAD Blog) for the Weta! It's not every day you get a Weta! (thankfully this one was a beautiful wire sculpture - heaven forbid I should ever run into a real weta!)
