Today we had our first Autodesk University Speaker Webcast to welcome all the speakers to the AU Team. We had a few technical difficulties that knocked me off kilter right before I began - and then my white fluffy dog decided she needed to bark just as I started to speak. So it was a comedy of errors to be sure - but somehow we made it through!
And I just have to plug Donnie Gladfelter's latest blog post on Job Hunting Tips from the CAD Geek. Really nicely done - he even has a section on how to properly leave your current job if you are let go. Lots of good tips in his article.
My latest Tips and Tricks Tuesday Cadalyst video on two powerful system variables is posted and ready for viewing. Be sure to check it out!
An AutoCAD Hip Tip on Two Powerful System Variables:
If you're tired of answering that redundant question in the PEDIT command of "Object selected is not a polyline, do you want to turn it into one?", then you'll love the PEDITACCEPTsystem variable. Simply set PEDITACCEPT to 1, and you'll never be faced with that pesky question again!
And if you work in multiple drawings at the same time, I hope you've already discovered the extremely useful system variable TASKBAR. Simply set that to a value of 1 and all of your open drawing files will display on the taskbar making it easy to jump from one drawing to another.
Check out these two system variables - and check out the video!
