Well it's a drizzly, rainy weekend in Northern California - which is very good since we keep hearing in the news that we are suffering a drought! Hopefully this rain will help ease conditions at least a little. I hear Alabama and Georgia were greeted with some rare snow this weekend - definitely some unusual weather going on nowadays!
I've been working on my AutoCAD 2010 Tips and Tricks booklet and thought I'd share another cool feature that made its way into AutoCAD 2010.
An AutoCAD 2010 Hip Tip on Rotating Views within Viewports:
Well first off...it's just plain easier to rotate a standard rectangular viewport in AutoCAD 2010. Select the viewport, select a hot grip and use the rotate option to quickly rotate it.
Second of all...you can now rotate the view along with the viewport - hoorah! A new system variable called VPROTATEASSOC (long name!) controls whether or not the view is rotated along with the viewport. By default - VPROTATEASSOC is set to 1 and the view will be rotated.
In previous release...the view did not rotate - which is the equivalent to VPROTATEASSOC being set to 0 in AutoCAD 2010.
As for me...I think I'll make a nice warm fire and try to stay warm!
