This week I had the opportunity to do my first AutoCAD 2010 demo while in Miami for Digital Drafting Systems. Woo-Hoo! I’ll be the first to admit I wasn’t quite polished yet in my performance – (and thankfully the audience was very forgiving) but their response was overwhelming! AutoCAD 2010 was definitely a hit!
I met the nicest user at the event in Miami, Juan Diaz. According to him he has been trying to meet me for 14 years – wow! It was a pleasure to finally meet him and below you’ll find a picture of the two of us. Nice to meet you Juan (let’s not wait another 14 years…ok?)
Here's a little trivia for you... Do you happen to know what the code name is for AutoCAD 2010? Gator. I just love all the interesting code names we have at Autodesk. So, if you hear someone talking about “Gator”, they are referring to AutoCAD 2010 – so now you are in the know!
On to an AutoCAD Hip Tip on AutoCAD 2010 Select Color Dialog Box:
Have you ever had trouble seeing which color you are selecting in the Select Color Dialog Box? I know I certainly have. This minor little change in AutoCAD 2010 will make us so much happier when we are selecting colors for layers, objects, etc. Now you can actually tell which color you are selecting! Hoorah! You’ll also see that the current color displays as a smaller swatch in the dialog as seen below.
So there is a little tip for you on AutoCAD 2010…with many, many, more to come!
