Returned to my old stomping grounds of Southern California (grew up in Long Beach) and went to the fabulous Magic Castle in Hollywood with some of my favorite colleagues from Disney. Tom Conti (one of our top AU speakers) was kind enough to invite me up for an extraordinary evening of magic and a seance (we brought back Houdini of course!). It was fabulous hanging out with Shane Bartley (also a top-rated AU speaker) and Patti Wines (who's just plain awesome) along with some other fantastic (and oh so fun) Disney people and their significant others. I can't thank you enough Tom! You need to know a professional magician to get into the Magic Castle (that would be Tom) so it's an extra special treat worth flying in for...I think it's safe to say a good time was had by all! No cameras were allowed inside of the Magic Castle so I'm afraid I don't have a good group photo to post on my blog.
So on to some more AutoCAD 2007 info:
New XREF Palette:
The new updated XREF command displays all of your attached file information (not just XREFs anymore). That means your image files and DWF files will also display (one stop shop!).
Creating Tool Palettes
The new CUI command that came out in AutoCAD 2006 allowed you to customize just about everything except for those handy Tool Palettes (what was up with that?). AutoCAD 2007 has added that additional functionality into the CUI so you can drag and drop commands from the CUI to your tool palettes.
Stay tuned for more AutoCAD 2007 features this week!
