Now that AU is over, Holiday reality is taking over - yikes! Time to get that shopping done, make plans, and all that other Ho-Ho-Ho stuff. Last Friday we managed to sneak in a day at Epcot after AU and were fortunate to catch an affecting Christmas Choir and orchestra performance with Haley Joel Osment narrating the Christmas story. It was amazing...and that was when I realized the Holiday season was truly here.
So here is your Holiday Hip Tip to start the week:
Tool Palettes: Automating scale factors of blocks and hatch patterns:
First of all, promise me you are all using your tool palettes. The Tool Palettes have been one of my favorite feature additions to AutoCAD because they are easy to customize and yet so powerful.
For those of you who have embraced and set up your tool palettes, you can practically automate the scale factor for your blocks and hatch patterns by setting up the Auxiliary Scale setting (under Properties). Here you'll find that you can tell AutoCAD to automatically assign the dimscale factor or the plot scale factor instead of manually keying in the information yourself. One small setting that saves you lots of time!
So there's your first Holiday Hip Tip...use the extra time you save to write out your Holiday Gift List!
