First of all I'd like to recognize a fellow blogger, Mark Kiker, and his CADD Manager Blog. I pulled it up today and already nabbed a valuable tip to add to my repertoire. Mark is one of our top rated speakers at Autodesk University (have you signed up yet?). Kudos to Mark.
Second of all, I realized that though I told you how to switch the AutoCAD MTEXT editor back to AutoCAD 2005, I didn't tell you how to reverse this setting and get it back to AutoCAD 2006! Simply set the system variable MTEXTED to INTERNAL. That should do it! (Sorry about that).
My good buddy dave espinosa-aguilar (all lower-case) reminded me about the bizarre display setting that controls the text size on your AutoCAD Tool Palettes. I should have mentioned it on Tuesday when I was talking about changing the size of your various fonts.
AutoCAD Hip Tip to change the size of the Tool Palette Fonts:
So first of all, it's not controlled inside of AutoCAD...it's also controlled in the Display Properties dialog box. Recap: Right Click on your desktop and select Properties from the shortcut menu. Go to the Appearance tab and select the Advanced button. Drop the Item list down as seen in the picture below and select Tooltip from the list. Yes that's right, Tooltip controls the size of the fonts on your Tool Palette - go figure! After you've set it to the desired size select OK and check it out in AutoCAD.
Lastly, I received some pictures from a fellow user who has solved the F1 problem I mentioned earlier this week a slightly different way - he customized a water bottle cap to protect it from accidental selection. So MacGyverish! Check out the pics below:
Whatever works! Thanks Paulis!
So there you have it everyone... Have a fabulous weekend!
