Wow...it's 2005 - can you believe it? I'm back to work after a relaxing week off and I hope that you had a chance to enjoy some downtime as well. Did you figure out your New Year's resolutions? How many have you broken so far? : )
I enjoyed a great New Year's Eve in Boston (brrrrr), I must admit it was great bundling up and being surrounded by the snow. I received numerous emails about my dog - I can't thank you all enough for your compassion - every email helped a little bit more.
I have received about 5 emails in the past two days about deleting named layer filters so it must be worthy to address the solution. My first response, of course, is to encourage you to upgrade to AutoCAD 2005 since its not an issue anymore in the current release. Of course we can't all convince management to do that, so I'll offer up another solution - an AutoLISP routine you can find on the AUGI website Exchange. Simply search for the keywords "layer filter"
So there is a bit of a trick here - you'll have to sign up for AUGI first! But then who wouldn't want to sign up for the Autodesk User Group International? First of all it's free - and you get all sorts of great benefits from joining the worlds largest Autodesk user group. Trust me - you'll be glad you did!
